Mumbai Rain News | Red Alert Issued Amid Severe Torrential Rains And Waterlogging In Maharashtra

Heavy rainfall has brought Mumbai to a standstill, causing severe waterlogging in several parts of the city. The Andheri Subway had to be shut down due to flooding, while train services were hit with delays and disruptions. Maharashtra’s IT Minister Ashish Shelar has directed officials to take urgent measures as the IMD issued a red alert for Mumbai and its suburbs on August 18 and 19. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued for multiple districts including Thane, Palghar, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Amravati, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli.
