Mumbai Airport Shift: Airlines Asked To Plan Phased Move To Navi Mumbai

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has asked airlines to submit a firm plan for shifting operations from Mumbai Airport to the new Navi Mumbai International Airport. IndiGo, Air India and Akasa are already in discussions with the airport operator on a phased transition. The move is linked to the redevelopment of Mumbai Airport's Terminal 1, with key meetings scheduled in October to finalise the transition plan, including the shifting of around 5 million international passengers.
