Mission Greenland: Trump Softens Tone, But Stays Firm On US Control At Davos

US President Donald Trump used his special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos to strongly reiterate his ambition to acquire Greenland, calling it central to American and Western security. While striking a slightly softer tone by signalling openness to negotiations, Trump warned that refusal would have consequences, telling allies they could "say yes, or we will remember." He argued that Europe and NATO owe the US for decades of security guarantees and claimed no nation other than America can defend Greenland against emerging threats from Russia and China.
