Will the Maratha quota agitation now settle? A day after violence and arson in Maharashtra's Beed during Maratha quota protests, the Eknath Shide government said it is adopting measures that will pacify agitators who want reservation in government jobs and education under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. Gatherings are banned in Beed and several shops are shut to ensure no fresh outbreak of violence. There is no internet in the city as well.
