BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said it is a matter of great pain that the Congress and the Opposition debated over the clause under which the Manipur issue should be discussed in Parliament even after Piyush Goyal in the Rajya Sabha and Prahlad Joshi in the Lok Sabha said that the Centre is ready to discuss the issues grappling the northeastern state. "The Manipur incident is not necessary for the opposition, the clause is," he said, adding that the government is concerned about the safety of the sisters and daughters in Manipur.
