Venezuelan opposition leader MarÃa Corina Machado presented her Nobel Peace Prize medal to US President Donald Trump during a meeting at the White House on Thursday as a symbolic gesture of gratitude for his support. Trump confirmed later on social media that Machado had left the medal for him to keep, and he said it was an honour to meet her. The meeting came days after the US carried out a military strike in Venezuela and captured its leader Nicolás Maduro.
