Lynching The New Normal?

Lynching of anyone is horrendous, done by anyone is a crime, and deserves the harshest punishment. Today's story is about Gopal, a Gau Rakshak in Haryana who was attempting to highlight a case of alleged illegal cow smuggling and he lost his life in the skirmish, hashtag #GopalLynched has now started trending on social media. While we highlight his story and our heart goes out to members of his family, we will talk about the urgent need now for a new law - an anti-lynching law as the only concrete solution in the future.
