Siddaramaiah has criticised the Government of India over the recent hike in cooking gas prices, calling the increase “very steep” and burdensome for the public. Speaking to reporters, the Karnataka chief minister said the Centre has increased the price of an LPG cylinder by ₹115, while the price of domestic gas has gone up by ₹60. Siddaramaiah said the move has caused widespread concern among citizens and questioned the government’s approach to rising fuel costs.
