Loan defaulters made public
If many private banks use musclemen to recover loans, this is what a nationalised bank is up to. The State Bank of India (Chennai Zonal Office) has started a 'Hall of Shame'. It is now publishing in leading Tamil newspapers the names, addresses and photographs of customers who have defaulted in loan repayments.
