Tamil Nadu celebrates the harvest festival of Pongal which also marks the new month of Thai; believed to usher in newer opportunities. A four-day-long festival that began yesterday; Pongal signifies abundance and prosperity. NDTV caught up with the Balasubramniams in Chennai who celebrate Pongal in a traditional way despite of moving to the city decades ago.
