Karnataka is set for a major political transition today as DK Shivakumar prepares to take oath as the state's Chief Minister at 4 PM. The swearing-in ceremony will bring an end to days of intense negotiations within the Congress party over leadership and cabinet formation. Fourteen ministers are also expected to be sworn in alongside him, while senior leader G. Parameshwara is likely to be named Deputy Chief Minister.
