Congress Suffers Major MLC Poll Setback as BJP Targets Rahul Gandhi Over Vote Theft Campaign
The Congress has suffered a major electoral setback, failing to win any of the 12 MLC seats it contested across four states. In Bihar, its alliance with the RJD fell apart, while in Maharashtra, the party lost two seats it previously held. Sharad Pawar's NCP won both seats it contested. In Uttar Pradesh, the Congress stayed out of the 11-seat contest amid ongoing seat-sharing negotiations with the Samajwadi Party ahead of the Assembly elections.
