About 200 Young girls from the rural and border belt of Jammu and Kashmir are being given free training to help them qualify for police recruitment exams and serve the motherland in uniform. They want to be stakeholders in peace and fight against terror. That is why, every day at 5 AM while the rest of the city sleeps, these girls can be seen sweating and sprinting in the open, chasing their dream of joining the police force. At a time when terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba are trying to recruit women to fuel violence in the region, these young women are preparing to stand on the frontline against terror. Sub Inspector Showkat Hussain, an instructor from the Police Academy, is leading their training.
