"It Is Easy To Question The Government": Delhi Minister Ashish Sood To NDTV

Following the deadly hotel fire in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar, Delhi Minister Ashish Sood said multiple fire tenders were rushed to the site and more than 47 people were evacuated and shifted to nearby hospitals. He stated that senior officials, including the DCP, Municipal Commissioner, District Magistrate and health authorities, are overseeing the response. The government has launched an investigation into the hotel's electricity connection, fire safety compliance and bed-and-breakfast licence. Authorities are examining when the licence was issued, for how many rooms it was approved and whether any violations occurred.
