Israel's Retaliatory Attacks After Hamas's Rocket Barrage Flattens Residential Area In Gaza

A rocket attack by Israeli air forces targeting a shopping center in the Gaza Strip on Saturday. The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Saturday it launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood with rockets targeting enemy sites, airports, and military installations. The Israeli army, in turn, said it initiated Iron Swords in Gaza Strip, a "large-scale operation to defend Israeli civilians against the combined attack launched against Israel by Hamas this morning."
