Israel-Lebanon Hold First Direct Phone Call Via Washington

Israel and Lebanon have held their first direct phone call, with the talks taking place via their ambassadors in Washington. Sources say the U.S. Ambassador to Beirut, Michael Issa, was also on the call. The contact is being seen as significant amid efforts to stabilise the region, especially as attacks on Lebanon had emerged as a key point of contention between Iran and the United States during ceasefire discussions.
