Over two weeks into the conflict and aside from skirmishes between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces along the border, Israel is yet to put boots inside Gaza in large numbers. As per reports, it's the US administration has advised to delay the ground invasion hoping to allow time for fruitful hostage negotiations and preparations for any attacks on US interests in the region.
