Indian Army Steps In As Rising Ravi River Poses Threat To Jammu-Pathankot Highway

The rising water level of the Ravi River in Kathua has posed a serious threat to government buildings and the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.

In response, joint teams from the Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab administrations, along with the Indian Army, have launched urgent repair and protection efforts. Army personnel are constructing a protective embankment to contain the strong current, a step vital for safeguarding the highway as well as nearby residential areas.
