Indian Air Force | HAL Chairman Hails LCA Tejas Mk1A Defence Deal As 'Red Letter Day'
On the MoD signing a landmark contract with HAL for the procurement of 97 LCA Tejas Mk1A aircraft for the Indian Air Force, HAL CMD Dr. DK Sunil called it a "red letter day". He said the new order, with 70% indigenous content, will integrate Indian radar, EW suite, and several advanced systems. The contract, worth nearly ₹65,000 crore, is seen as a major boost for Atmanirbharta in defence.
