Palestinian Ambassador Abdullah M. Abu Shawesh highlighted the deep-rooted historical ties between India and Palestine, emphasizing the long-standing relationship shared by the two peoples. Speaking about the historical connection, Abu Shawesh recalled that more than a century ago, an Indian scholar and religious figure visited Jerusalem, underscoring the centuries-old cultural and people-to-people links between the regions. The envoy noted that India and Palestine have maintained strong diplomatic and historical bonds over the decades, built on mutual respect, solidarity, and shared values. He also reflected on India's longstanding support for the Palestinian cause and the importance of preserving historical ties while strengthening cooperation for the future.
