India Gets First Full-Time Woman Defence Minister

The cabinet reshuffle is done now, and there are nine new faces in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's revamped team. But the big story that emerged was that Nirmala Sitharaman was made Defence Minister -- the first woman to hold this portfolio full-time. Indira Gandhi handled the Defence portfolio as Prime Minister nearly three decades ago. Other key changes include Piyush Goel becoming Railway Minister and Suresh Prabhu Commerce Minister.
