In Telangana, Girls Forced To Pick Cotton Over School

As India pushes ahead with the motto of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', young girls are dropping out of school to work in cotton fields in the Warangal district of Telangana. When farmers can't afford to pay labour, the first casualty is the girl child, who gets pulled out of school and gets drafted into farm work.
