IIT-Madras Sees Record Placements In First Phase Of Campus Selections

IIT-Madras has recorded a historic high in job offers, with around 73 per cent of students receiving job offers at the end of phase 1 of campus placements. The mean international package has touched 2 lakh dollars. As many as 1,085 offers, including 45 international offers from 14 companies, were made by a total of 226 companies during phase 1. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to a few students and faculty on the emerging trends, approach towards start-ups, quality of teaching amid the pandemic, criticism on brain drain, giving back by IITians and catching up in global rankings.
