Madhavi Latha, BJP's firebrand candidate from Hyderabad, faces a police case after a video showed her asking burqa-clad Muslim women at a polling booth to reveal their faces so that she can match them with the photographs on their voter ID cards. Meanwhile, another controversy has sparked in Andhra Pradesh where YSRCP MLA from Tenali was caught on camera slapping and getting into a brawl with a voter at a polling booth in Tenali. The MLA later claimed that the voter was inebriated and had used casteist remarks against him. However, other reports suggest that the argument broke out when the voter insisted on the MLA not breaking the queue and waiting for his turn to cast his vote.
