HRD Minister vs Top Scientist: NDTV Interview Creates Storm
Smriti Irani's bombshell on top scientist Anil Kakodkar in an interview to NDTV has created a storm. The HRD minister had said that Mr Kakodkar had bent rules to push his own nominee for IIT director. Mr Kakodkar today hit back saying the search panel had proposed a name and not him. He also said, "good people you want, you have to invite them. Eminent people, you just float an advertisement, they won't apply."
