A controversy has erupted at a NEET examination centre in Ajmer after a hijab-wearing candidate was allegedly stopped from appearing for the exam. The candidate, Kusum Bano, maintained that she would not enter the examination hall without wearing her hijab. The incident led to protests from Kusum and her family members, who questioned the decision taken at the examination centre. According to them, the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts NEET, does not prohibit candidates from appearing for the examination while wearing a hijab under its guidelines.
