Heavy Rains Batter Andhra Pradesh And Telangana: 2 Dead In Vijayawada Landslide
Various places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana received heavy rainfall accompanied by strong surface winds on Saturday morning. Besides heavy rain, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms in isolated places across the region as the low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a depression. Two people were killed and six others injured when a house collapsed due to a landslide during heavy rainfall in Vijayawada. According to police officials, boulders rolled down and fell on the victims' house, which was located on a hill slope near the Moghalrajpuram area.
