Hayli Gubbi Eruption | Ethiopia’s Hayli Gubbi Volcano Erupts For The First Time Ever

The Hayli Gubbi volcano in Ethiopia has erupted for the first time in recorded history, sending thick ash clouds high into the sky over the Afar region. Local media reported moderate tremors in areas surrounding Erta Ale and Afdera town as the long-dormant mountain came alive on Sunday. Located just 15 km from the active Erta Ale volcano, Hayli Gubbi’s sudden activity has triggered close monitoring by geologists and emergency teams.
