Gujarat Floods | Junagadh: Residents Forced To Leave Homes Due To Heavy Rainfall, Key Port Shut
The Mangrol port, beside the Arabian Sea, serves a population of around 16,000. Daily, around 2000 boats venture into the water, but during four months of heavy rainfall, the port remains completely closed. Their business was halted until 15 August, and they were set to return to the water on 16 August. However, a cyclone alert was issued, forcing a complete shutdown of their work.
