Gujarat News | Fake Currency Notes Thrown at Gujarat University VC Office During Youth Cong Protest
NSUI and Youth Congress workers staged a protest at Gujarat University’s Vice-Chancellor's office, demanding a police complaint against former Vice-Chancellor Neerja Gupta over alleged financial irregularities. Protesters accused Gupta of misusing ₹40 crore under the PM Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), allegedly appointing herself as Principal Investigator, drawing an additional ₹4 lakh salary, and transferring ₹9.84 lakh in grant funds to her son’s foreign bank account. During the demonstration, workers also threw fake ₹100, ₹200 and ₹500 currency notes.
