Greenland Rejects China Threat Claims, Open To More US Bases
Greenland's Minister N Nathanielsen has dismissed claims of Chinese activity in Greenlandic waters, saying there is no intelligence to support such concerns. While acknowledging Russia's status as an Arctic state, she said Greenland shares US and NATO concerns about regional security but believes challenges can be managed through cooperation, monitoring, and investments rather than force. Nathanielsen said Greenland would welcome an expanded US military presence if required for defence.
