Government Speeding On Bills, Sidestepping On Procedure?

The first parliament session of the 17th Lok Sabha will go down as the most successful in terms of legislative business in over two decades. This on face value should be a great reason to celebrate but then there are allegations that behind the fast and furious bills and speeding of legislation the government may have sidestepped procedure. Trinamool Congress's Derek O'Brien says bills are getting cleared faster than pizza being delivered and that the procedure to send legislation for scrutiny in select committees is not being considered at all and the government is acting in haste.
