#GLAadventure - The Homecoming

The journey back home finally begins. On this journey, the #GLAadventure team found a small piece of India in the town of Monywa in Myanmar - an old Gurudwara. The team got to interact with the people at the Gurudwara and also eat langar with them. Then the team headed to a place with thousands of Buddhas, an experience that proved to be extremely soothing. The next day, #GLAadventure embarked on a long journey from Monywa to Kale. It was a journey filled with mixed emotions, on one hand there was the joy of returning home and on the other the sad feeling of an epic journey coming to an end . Finally, the drive reached the India-Myanmar Friendship Road and after covering over 44,000 kilometres across the globe, #GLAadventure crossed into India. From Moreh in Manipur where the cars entered into India, the drive headed to Delhi for a grand ending at the beautiful precinct of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. In an exclusive access the team witnessed the Change of Guard ceremony, got to visit the President's Motor Garage and also got a tour inside the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After this, the heroes of the Great Overland Adventure, the GLA and the support car the GL headed back to where their journey was flagged off over a year ago, to the Mercedes-Benz plant in Chakan, Pune. Here the cars got a special welcome for conquering the world and finally it was time for the team to bid adieu to their trusted companions.
