France Supermarkets Hit By Cyberattack As Refrigerators Reach 50°C

France’s cybersecurity agency has warned that a cyberattack targeting supermarket refrigeration systems may still be ongoing. The attack remotely raised refrigerator temperatures to 50°C, forcing stores to discard fresh and frozen food and causing Intermarché losses worth tens of millions of euros in a single day. In the Netherlands, a separate cybersecurity incident disrupted supermarket supplies and home deliveries. Authorities in both countries are investigating the incidents, which have raised concerns about vulnerabilities in critical food supply chains.
