Flydubai FZ1073 Hijack Alert:The Terrifying Cockpit Battle That Sent The Plane Into A 14,000-Ft Dive
Flydubai flight FZ 1073 took off from Dubai for Tel Aviv with 174 passengers and crew on board. Minutes later, a hijack alert was triggered after a violent cockpit confrontation in which the Omani co-pilot attacked Indian captain Smit Machchhar. Despite suffering serious injuries, the captain fought to regain control as the aircraft plunged thousands of feet. After the cockpit door was opened, passengers and crew subdued the attacker, allowing the aircraft to stabilise and make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
