Flash Floods, Landslides Block Chandigarh-Manali Highway, Thousands Stranded
A massive traffic jam brought movement to a standstill at the Mandi-Kullu border, leaving thousands of commuters stranded since midnight of August 16. According to reports, the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway was blocked due to multiple landslides and flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall in the region. The calamity struck late in the night, disrupting traffic on both sides of the route.
