Efforts are on to make booster doses available at fairs, religious congregations, even railway station platforms, says Dr NK Arora, Chairperson of the COVID working group, adding that it has been observed that uptake goes up when vaccine is available next door and is free. The Covid panel chief said the polio and measles programme has given policymakers a lot of confidence. On India completing 2 billion Covid vaccine doses, Mr Arora said it is a "journey of atmanirbharta and atmavishwas and now it is also a matter of atmasamman as well".
