As we talk about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and sanitation, there is an urgent need to discuss where does all the human waste goes after we use a toilet. Fecal Sludge Management has been called the missing and ignored component of the sanitation sector and there is an urgent need for a proper system to treat human waste, this episode highlights just that. India has barely 30% sewerage lines and the way it is being managed, it is turning all our rivers into cesspools, destroying soils, harming human health, damaging food supplies and wrecking water supplies.
