ED Acted Within Law, Mamata's Move Illegal: Mahesh Jethmalani

Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani has strongly criticised Mamata Banerjee for visiting the residence of an I-PAC associate during an Enforcement Directorate raid, calling her actions "exactly contrary to law". Speaking to NDTV, Jethmalani said the ED's searches were fully within the provisions of the PMLA, backed by a registered ECIR and lawful suspicion. He alleged that the Chief Minister's arrival with top state police officials amounted to intimidation of central agencies and claimed documents were misappropriated during the visit.
