DK Shivakumar Moves to Pacify Ramalinga Reddy After Resignation Over Portfolio Row

A fresh political challenge has emerged for the Karnataka government as senior Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy resigned amid dissatisfaction over portfolio allocation.

The veteran leader is understood to have sought the Bengaluru Development portfolio, triggering tensions within the ruling Congress. Responding to the development, Karnataka Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar acknowledged Reddy's concerns and said the party had promised him a portfolio.
