Investigators probing the deadly Malviya Nagar hotel fire that claimed 21 lives have uncovered a series of alleged safety violations that may have contributed to the tragedy. Authorities are examining reports that the property had only one entry-exit point, lacked a mandatory fire NOC, and was operating nearly 25 rooms despite being permitted to run only six under the Bed & Breakfast licence. Basement rooms, reportedly not permitted under regulations, were also being used, while concerns have been raised about the absence of windows and possible non-compliance with electricity load norms.
