Delhi Government To Announce Action Plan As City Braces For Heat Wave
The Delhi government will announce this year's heat action plan today. The plan proposes that different departments should ensure the availability of shade, drinking water, and ORS packets at bus and auto stands, provide proper shade for traffic police, use non-functional schools as shelters and alter the timing of outdoor workers to minimise exposure to intense heat.
