Just 150 metres from the Gauri Shankar Temple, minutes from the Red Fort, and close to the Old Delhi Railway Station - the blast site sits at the intersection of some of the most crowded zones in the capital. From Red Fort tourists in peak winter evenings, to devotees at temples and gurudwaras, to shoppers in Chandni Chowk and the huge Bhagirath electronics market - this pocket sees thousands at any given hour. Tonight, this packed cross-section was the target of a deadly blast that killed at least eight and injured over twenty.
