Union Minister of State L Murugan has launched a sharp attack on the DMK government over the Karthigai Deepam row, accusing the state administration of being “against temples” and restricting devotees’ right to worship. Speaking in Coimbatore, Murugan cited court orders allowing the lighting of the deepam at Thirupparankundram hill, alleged non-compliance by authorities, arrests of BJP leaders, and claimed demolition of a Murugan temple in Perumanallur.
