"Everyone is using dating apps. There were three billion right swipes during COVID each day. We cannot say that we have to stop dating apps. 54 per cent of the matches that happen are successful these days. About 14 per cent are getting married. We cannot just say that dating apps are to blame for these murders. Many people over 30 are quite active on dating apps," said Arun Mishra, CEO and founder, BizBrolly, when asked if there is a generational gap when it comes to dating apps. Shraddha Walkar, who met Aftab Poonawala on a dating app, was murdered by her boyfriend.
