Panama-Flagged Cargo Ship Sinks Off Odisha Coast, 2 Crew Rescued

Panama-flagged cargo ship MV Ocean-Winner sank around 240 nautical miles off the Odisha coast after departing Paradip Port on August 20 with 1,700 tonnes of iron ore bound for Singapore. The vessel had 24 crew members on board, including 20 Chinese, three Myanmar nationals and one Bangladeshi. Maritime authorities lost contact with the ship on August 22, triggering a joint search and rescue operation by the Indian Coast Guard and Navy. Two crew members have been rescued from life rafts, while the search continues for others.
