NDRF DIG Mohsen Shahidi said that the cyclone is slowing down and soon the situation will be normal. South 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, and Kolkata are the most affected areas, where 14 and 6 teams of NDRF and SDRF have been deployed respectively.

"The cyclone has been turned into a cyclone from a very severe cyclone and hopefully it will turn into deep depression by the evening. One death from Kolkata has been reported.
