The night breeze felt freeing as his red Opel Corsa car sped around Delhi’s Connaught Place
It was Friday the 13th in 2004 and he was in a weird mood. A little adventurous, bordering on wild. He knew he would be making reckless decisions today, such as gate-crashing a former friend’s party in the hope of running into a former lover. Just for the love of chaos or a broken heart or something else entirely? He had new lovers now, they too would witness the wild night beckoning them with limitless offerings of hedonistic pleasures. And yet, by the end of this unlucky 13th, two of these revellers will be dead, a home would be ransacked, valuables would be robbed and the police would be left wondering… were the dead a victim of a senseless robbery or a love story turned violent?
One of the capital's most sensationalised double murders, The Pushkin Chandra Double Murder Case or the 2004 'Gay Murders'.
