A meeting is underway between the Chamoli district administration and the residents of the 'sinking' town Joshimath in Uttarakhand over the demolitions ordered by the authorities. This comes after the demolitions were deferred yesterday amid protests for compensation by the locals. Several buildings are tilting and developed cracks in the town.
