Constable Killed on Duty While Trying to Stop Alleged Sand Smuggling

A police constable, who intercepted an alleged sand smuggling tractor, was killed when he was run over by the vehicle, in Tamil Nadu's Vellore district on Sunday. Sub-Inspector P Rajan and constable Kanagaraj, on information that sand was being illegally transported, intercepted a tractor and asked its driver to halt the vehicle. (Read more)
